Lavender Hill Alpaca Farm

*This was an unfinished post from last year, but I felt it was worth finishing. I have Goomba working on a post about her experiences helping out on the farm.

We took a hike a few weeks back and happened to drive by an alpaca farm. Goomba has been obsessed with Llamas for a while now, and alpacas are their close cousins. When we drove by she begged and begged to go visit.

Caveman took her one weekend while I was working and she fell in love. The owners said she could come and help on the weekends and she has been ever since.

UPDATE Aug 2019:
She helped every weekend for nearly the rest of that summer, and even ended up getting a lesson in weaving. She keeps begging us to go back and help again, but she hast to keep her room clean first. Home chores come before alpaca farm chores, sorry.

We did go visit on our way home from our camping trip, and Rose was so happy to see her, and meet Gummy Bear. They've since added a self guided walking tour,  a turkey, who enjoyed strutting his stuff for us, and sadly lost one of their youngest males to leukemia. I highly suggest checking them out if you're ever in the area!
